Bikhub

Self-Hosted Git Platform

View Project

Development Story

The idea behind Bikhub was simple: build a Git hosting platform without treating Git itself as a black box.

The project required the application layer and the Git layer to work together. Repository metadata lives alongside bare Git repositories, while HTTP Git endpoints handle clone, fetch, push, and reference discovery.

Bikhub was designed as an exercise in understanding the boundary between product software and infrastructure. The interface is only one layer of the system; underneath it is a repository engine responsible for storing, serving, and coordinating source code.
